Welcome!
Dear Liberty Families and Community Members,
I’m excited to welcome another school year for Liberty. This is my ninth year as the Liberty Principal. We are getting ready the 2022-23 school year. I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to lead Liberty Elementary, a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty-seven years. I have worked with students ranging in ages from kindergarten through 10th grade in a variety of roles; classroom teacher, Peer Coach/Instructional Coach, and administrator including being the principal of a K-8 multiage school in Scottsdale, AZ before returning to Southern California.
In 2018, I earned my doctorate from Grand Canyon University with an emphasis on Grit, a Sense of Belonging and Student Achievement. I believe students deserve a well-rounded education with rigorous academics, challenging arts programs, competitive sports programs while maintaining a focus on the social-emotional well being of our students.
At the end of last school year, we started opening the campus from the pandemic precautions and hosting families on campus. Our Family Read event had more than 200 parents reading to students! Parents are an integral part of education. Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students. Research indicates that parental involvement is a main indicator for student success therefore, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible
I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educational leader to Liberty Elementary School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.
I continue to feel fortunate to be part of this school community to support the students and families.
Respectfully,
Dr. Grisier
Liberty Elementary, an innovative, nurturing, and diverse community, raises and empowers the leaders of tomorrow on the pillars of academic rigor, personal integrity, and civic responsibility. Our mission is to support these future leaders to love to learn and to respect others through a commitment between students, parents and staff.
Liberty Elementary School shares the district's vision for our local learning community. Liberty is committed to providing a safe, challenging, and nurturing environment for all of our children.
Our children are creative-thinking, high-achievers, confident in their own abilities. They are committed to life long learning and responsible citizenship. They are unique individuals who take pride in developing their own full potential. Our diversity gives us strength and promotes equity for all. Our learning environment is based on high expectations and clear standards. Families, school, and community work together to benefit all children which fosters respect for one another.
We embrace a rapidly changing world and look to our community and district for support. Students are provided the tools and strategies to become self-sufficient and technologically proficient, accessing information from all over the world. Students are motivated to meet high academic standards, which include art, drama, and physical fitness. Students appreciate all cultures and languages and do not take note of individuals' economic status.
We look forward to the future with hope and confidence.
